Why even...?
One day, while taking a (wonderful) long ride on the autonomous U2 line in Nuremberg, a question popped into my head: "How are all these passenger information screens controlled across the entire fleet?" Long story short — I did some research and built my own take on such a system. The core principles? Fast. Secure. Centrally managed. Using gRPC, a modern Flutter Web UI, containerized clusters, and some PostgreSQL databases, I quickly developed a deep respect for the engineers who built the real thing.
